All kids start out doing art, some of us just never stop. At a young age I discovered surrealism and was drawn to the use of solid familiar imagery, unbound by the rules of reality, bringing the dream world of the creator into view for the rest of us. It was such a unique way for the artist to share a piece of imagination they have created with the rest of the world. I use symbolism from the natural world and carry the meaning it has for me or clients to help instil deeper meaning to a piece. I enjoy the use movement and symbolism as tools that help compose stories, pose questions, or reflect on life and the different limitations we face. I have learned to use many mediums, drawing, painting, and sculpture. Most pieces I am currently producing are mixed media on wood panel.
